REPRESENTED ARTIST

Lorrayne Paula

Lorrayne Paula is a Brazilian artist based in Paris. From an early age, she developed a deep sensitivity to drawing. The desire to create and represent the world around her came naturally, but it was through painting that she found her true artistic voice.Leaving Brazil to build a life in France profoundly shaped her journey. Living between two cultures broadened her perspective and strengthened her belief that, beyond our differences, we share a common humanity. She discovered acrylic painting during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2023, she began formal drawing studies, followed by oil painting in 2024, a medium she continues to explore today. For Lorrayne, painting is a space of freedom where we can express who we truly are, beyond the fear of judgment. Inspired by humanity, emotions, nature, spirituality, and everyday life, she creates figurative works that invite viewers to slow down, look beyond appearances, and reconnect with what unites us.An emerging artist, she has exhibited her work internationally and continues to develop a humanistic body of work shaped by contemplation and meaningful encounters.”I paint what the eye alone cannot see. Through my work, I seek to reveal what unites us, where the eye too often stops at our differences. Before all else, we share a common humanity”
Curator’s Note
Lorrayne Paula’s figurative painting centers on common humanity, using contemplation, emotion, and everyday experience to look beyond visible differences toward what connects us.
