Marlena Kokot

Marlena Kokot (b. July 8, 1995) is a contemporary visual artist from the small town of Syców in Lower Silesia, Poland. Her work is rooted in deep sensitivity, openness, and a relentless pursuit of emotional truth.Marlena graduated from the Stanisław Kopystyński High School of Fine Arts in Wrocław. She earned a technical diploma in computer and workshop graphics, combining technical mastery with expressive sensitivity. In 2022, she received a diploma from the jury of the Pinakothek at the Luxembourg Museum in the international Luxembourg Art Prize competition, recognizing the outstanding artistic quality of her work. In 2026 she was also selected for “100 Artist of Europe” a curatorial European project. Marlena’s practice also includes murals connected with open spaces.Her works are held in private collections in Poland and abroad, often noted for their quiet magnetism and emotional clarity that “hold the viewer’s gaze.”Throughout her career, Marlena has engaged in numerous projects and initiatives to develop her practice:• Participating in regional group exhibitions, where her work stood out for its expressive symbolism and experimental compositions.• Collaborating with local cultural events, providing artistic settings and engaging in discussions about art and creative processes.• Creating commissioned works inspired by the personal stories of clients, giving each piece an intimate, emotional resonance.”Deep faith and emotions are the most important language we possess. We may not always know how to speak them, but we can show them” — this quote encapsulates the guiding theme of her work. As she reflects: “It is not without reason that people say faith works wonders — and I have been guided by it throughout my life.”
