Anna Sherrard is a Photographer from Atlanta, Georgia whose work focuses on human connection and the art in everyday life. She has a background in social work and youth programming which influences the way that she approaches photography with empathy and attentiveness to seeking genuine moments. Anna has owned and operated her own photography business for more than a decade and has most often focused on portraiture and providing her the opportunity to work with many different people and a wide range of events. She was also featured on a billboard in Times Square last December and a gallery in the Louvre in Paris, France this past April. Both have been major career milestones. While portraiture has remained central to the work that she does, Anna is expanding her spectrum of work into street, travel, and lifestyle photography specifically shot on film. Having grown up in Rochester New York, the birthplace of Eastman Kodak, she has always felt a deep connection to film and the history of the camera. She is drawn to film for the depth of color, the intentionality of each shot, the beauty in capturing fleeting moments as they happen and the warmth it provides.Through her photography and her career as an artist Anna strives to capture life as it is and show the beauty in every space in a way that often goes unseen. Whether through portraits or a documentary style, the ability to create images that make people feel something is what drives Anna to continue to be a visual story-teller.
