REPRESENTED ARTIST

Ingrid Forbregd

Ingrid Forbregd is a Norwegian abstract artist based in Lillehammer, Norway.Alongside a long career as a journalist, national radio host, and communications advisor, she has continued to pursue her lifelong passion for painting. Storytelling remains at the heart of her artistic practice—today expressed through colour, texture, and movement rather than words.Working intuitively with acrylics, Ingrid creates abstract paintings inspired by nature, light, and the emotional landscapes we all carry within us.Her work explores emotions and human connection—between people, between memories and the present, between nature and ourselves, and between our inner and outer worlds.Inspired by nature and by the experiences that shape our lives, many of her paintings reflect themes of presence, hope, quiet strength, resilience, and vulnerability. Rather than illustrating specific places or stories, they invite viewers to slow down, be present, and discover their own emotions, memories, and interpretations within each work.Through her art, Ingrid hopes to create moments of stillness and recognition, reminding us that while every story is unique, the emotions that connect us are often the same.
Curator’s Note
Ingrid Forbregd translates her lifelong commitment to storytelling from words into intuitive acrylics, using color, texture, and movement to evoke nature, emotion, and human connection.
